Starting from the rifugio you will walk over the dam and follow the trail along the Ritom lake. The official yellow hiking sign will later indicate you the direction to Tom lake where you will find a wonderful white sandy beach. On the way to Tom lake several lovely marmots can be seen. From the Tom lake you could also reach Cadagno lake in about 30 minutes and return to our rifugio or to the funicular station (blue sign on the map – 20 minutes away from our rifugio).
